MUVA to partner with Selati to develop SelSky UAS Test Site for BVLOS operation in Selangor
Kuala Lumpur, 24th May 2023 – Malaysia UAV Alliance Association (MUVA), an association dedicated to promoting the development and advancement of the commercial UAS industry in Malaysia, and Selangor Aviation and Technology Innovation Sdn Bhd (SELATI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Menteri Besar Selangor (Pemerbadanan) mandated by the Selangor State Government to provide management, consultancy, research and advisory roles in aviation industry, are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA) 2023. The signing ceremony took place on 24th May 2023 at the LIMA’23 Pavilion, marking a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two organisations.
The MoU signifies the strategic partnership between MUVA and SELATI to the design, build, operate and maintain an innovative SelSky UAS test site for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operation in Selangor. The partnership aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both organisation to enhance the capabilities and safety of UAS operations in Selangor and beyond.
Through this collaboration, MUVA and SELATI intend to combine their strengths in technology innovation and aviation solutions to address the growing demand for UAS applications across various industries. The partnership will focus on advancing commercial UAS operations, including Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) missions, in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Together, we aim to drive the adoption of UAS technologies and contribute to the development of Selangor’s UAS ecosystem.”

The organisations will work closely with relevant authorities, industry partners, and stakeholders to ensure the success of their collaborative efforts.
